trestle table

A very good idea from Ben Storms, designer and stonecrafter, bends the rules between form, material and technique.
In Vein is a marble trestle table that can be used as a mirror by positioning it straight up against the wall.
The original trestle table represents simplicity, mobility and efficiency. 'In Vein' adds delicate luxury and vanity.

dimensions: L200 x W100 x H73
materials: marble - mirror polished stainless steel - leather - cast iron

bamboo

Bamboo is a common material in both Japanese and Korean architecture and Kuma used it in this installation for its flexibility and tactility. Beautiful realisation from Kengo Kuma...

recyclage

une très jolie façon de recycler ses bouchons de bouteilles...www.kotik-design.com/

A good look around will reveal the variety of materials that surrounds us wherever we turn, in part noble-precious stones, silver and gold. In part valuable and necessary and then – some are useless. Among the latter, are all materials and elements that terminated their purpose, their reason of existence and thus became worthless objects' almost transparent, scrap. We look at them and see the best raw materials for our design.
At this stage we collect mostly metal items, especially beverages and caps different places and cultures. We select them and handle them with care, delicately polishing them from the dust of the road, molding them to create as unique pieces of jewelry-as precious metals.
The work with these materials fulfill their vast potential, revealing layers and exposing emotions, some of them attached to their previous role in their "past life". All pieces evoke a new fresh and exciting experience.

Yoav Kotik, the designer of "Precious metal" jewelry line, is a graduate of the industrial design department of "Bezalel academy of art and design" in Jerusalem.
